Ordering and Licensing

My card gets rejected...

We don't process payments and never see your card details. Please contact our e-commerce provider SWREG with any inquiries concerning your card or your transaction.

I don't have a credit card...

You can pay by check or wire transfer.

Please start your order as if paying by credit card. Enter your name and address, then select ‘By check or wire’, and follow the instructions on the next screen.

I have not received my package yet...

Our products are distributed in electronic form. In order to install a program please go to the Customer Control Panel and use the appropriate download link. When the distribution file is downloaded, run it to complete the installation process.

When the software is installed, activate it as described in your license email.

I have not received my license key...

The most common reason is an anti-spam filter on the recipient side. Check your spam folder. If it is empty, make sure there is no typing error in your e-mail address. Feel free to contact us and we will re-send your license email through an alternate mail server, or will fix the problem with your email address.

Please keep also in mind that order processing make take some time.

Kryptel 6 does not accept my license key...

Starting with version 6.0 Kryptel uses online activation, so long license codes are not needed anymore. All you need is your Customer ID number, which looks like “1234-56789-01234”.

How do I upgrade to Kryptel 6?
I bought Kryptel in 200?. Do I need to buy it again to upgrade to Kryptel 6?

No, you don't need to buy another license, but you might need to renew your Support & Upgrade subscription.

Log into Customer Control Panel and skip to the list of your licenses. It shows the last Kryptel version your license is good for, and the end date for your Support & Upgrade subscription.

If your subscription is active, use a link in the rightest column to download the distribution file, install it, and activate it with your Customer ID.

If your subscription has ended, you have a choice either to stay with your last licensed version (you can always download it in the Customer Control Panel), or you can renew your Support & Upgrade subscription for one year more.

What if I choose not to renew my Support & Upgrade subscription? Will my license expire?

No, you license will never expire. You can continue to use the last licensed version forever, and can always download it again in Customer Control Panel. You will simply not receive free upgrades anymore.

How do I enter my Silver Key license key?
Control Center does not show the command ‘Enter License Key’.

You cannot enter your license key using Control Center under Windows Vista or Windows 7. This command clashes with Vista UAC (User Account Control) so Control Center does not show it in the menu when running under Vista/Win7. If you are running a newer Windows system, you should use the License Manager (press Start / Programs / Silver Key / License Manager).

Users of eairlier WIndows versions can enter their license codes either way.

License Manager gives the message ‘No valid license record found.’

Your Silver Key license email somehow got corrupted. Most likely your email client reformatted the license email, wrapping too long lines. The License Manager cannot locate the license code because it is not where it is supposed to be.

There is a simple workaround, just enter your license manually (‘manually’ does not mean you need to type it in, pasting will work there too). In the License Manager window press ‘Enter’ (the lowest button) and copy the the ID/status/code strings from your email.

If we are sending encrypted Silver Key files to our clients, how many licenses do we need?

The number of licenses must correspond to the number of users, using Silver Key to produce encrypted parcels. If only one person performs encryption, then you need a single-user license only. Decrypting a Silver Key parcel does not require a commercial license, so the number of parcel recipients does not matter.

Can I use the software on several computers?

Yes, you can. Our license allows using our software on several computers as long as you are the only user of the product. You can also install it on several USB drives that belong to you and are used exclusively by you.

Note that two users need two licenses, even if they use the software on the same computer. In short, our license is user-based, not computer-based.

I am buying for my client (friend, spouse). How can I change the name the license is issued to?

Log into Customer Control Panel, change the Name and the Company fields to whatever you wish, and press Update. Re-activate the product using License Manager.

If the Company field is not empty, the license will be issued to your company name, otherwise to your name.

Can we use your free software in a corporate environment?

Yes, you can use our free products anywhere.

My Kryptel trial has expired. Do I need to buy it to get my files back?

No, you don't need to pay anything in order to decrypt your files back.

Uninstall Kryptel trial, then download free Kryptelite from our download page and install it. Kryptelite is fully compatible with commercial editions, so you can use it to decrypt Kryptel files.

My computer has no Internet access. How do I activate Kryptel?

Open the offline activation form and follow instructions.
